Farmers of Char Martin Union in Soybean Cultivation "Rice is one of the major crops of Char Martin Union. Jute is next to paddy. The next crop to be named are pulses like masaklai, pea, gram etc. Oil seeds include mustard and sesame. Cauliflower, china, dhunda, wheat, barley are the main food grains produced here.The district also produces mango, blackberry, jackfruit, guava, coconut, betel nut, palm, date, grapefruit (lemon), lemon, tamarind, kamaranga, olive, bell, pomegranate, quince etc. Pepper, onion, Garlic, coriander, ginger etc. Spice grains, gourd, sweet pumpkin, rice pumpkin, uchche, karla, chichinga, shrimp, zucchini, bean, barbati, cockroach, potato, round potato, eggplant, tomato cauliflower, cabbage etc. are produced in large quantities.
